Open a ledger file a lawyer, a real estate agent, an accountant, a bank, a credit union, or a fintech company already has. Or add a short label and write a new line. The check runs in this browser. Nothing is uploaded, and the file stays with you.

What this demonstration is. The time on each line is this computer's clock. The tip is not signed, so cutting off the last line still leaves a chain that checks. A line that checks does not show that the label is true, who wrote it, or that a court will accept it. For a real matter, Best Pay still runs the ledger under a written agreement, with a signed tip and an outside timestamp. That pilot is a separate step.
Writing a practice line on this page is free. Opening a ledger file for a matter is a paid add-on. The fee is a flat amount, agreed in writing before that work. The file is read on this computer. This page does not receive it.

What you are seeing
Each line carries the hash of the line before it. Change a letter in the middle and the hash no longer matches, so the check fails. Drop the newest line and the lines that remain still check. A signed tip is what catches a missing end, and this page does not make one.
Use a label you would not mind someone reading. The ledger is not a secret. Do not put a name, a card number, or an ID number in it.
